RESEARCH ON THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN
EXPERIENCE IN THE UNITED STATES
In light of the worldwide protests spurred by the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis,
Minnesota, classes 4A and 4B did an independent research project about the African
American experience.
Students could choose from a variety of topics including police brutality against blacks,
white supremacy, radicalisation and the KKK, key moments in African American
history, the media’s portrayal of African Americans, political movements and reform,
and the African American Experience in a short story.
Students were also free to choose their desired presentation format.
We would like to share with you outstanding work done by three groups of students.
