Our students made some very meaningful and deep reflections, and we would like to
share some with you:
“I do think we keep ourselves very informed about everything that is going on with
this virus in the whole world. Social media, the internet and the tv are useful tools
we use for that, and I appreciate how easy it is to find information about this topic,
although I can notice there is a lot of false info about it as well, sometimes difficult to
identify. For example, some days ago I found a chart on instagram, which exposed a
comparison between data of Italy and Argentina, basically the deaths and infected
persons, in numbers.
I was shoked and I showed it to my father, who is a doctor and always keeps telling us
the day-by- day of the virus in Argentina. He explained it was fake, and the data there
inserted was totally wrong, which meant a big relief for me because that information
was not really positive. In health education we are trying as well to be informed , which
is cool, because that shows that the school wants to be a source of information too.”.
Agueda Haidbauer, 4A
“For me, people that panic, watch the news and panic even more are not a good
example for other families and their children. That is a huge weakness: letting fear
control you. Learning to stay calm is crucial, not only in this situation, but for our lives.
I believe that people that have become able to control their fear because of this virus,
are going to be able to control their fears for the rest of their lives, and that’s why I know
that this is one of the many lessons, that coronavirus will teach all of us.”
Mila Tirini, 4A
“The strengths that the outbreak is exposing in our society are, above all, creativity and
the incredible way we have of communicating through technology. The weaknesses
it shows is how despair or fear makes the whole society alter, they are less patient and
more selfish.
The lessons we can learn from this crisis is that if we are all more supportive, things
can work better, in addition to the fact that hygiene is very important and that we
must heed the government’s recommendations, which are only to take care of us.”
Lara Cier, 4E
“I talk to my friends everyday, we call each other on facetime and talk about three
hours per - day. We mostly talk about how bored we are, but we also talk about the
Corona and all the misinformation that’s been going around the internet, that way we
all find out about something new. And familywise, I call my family everyday and talk
about the virus most of the time, my grandparents believe that some misinformation
is true, like: “If you drink Mate you’re going to be Coronavirus - free”. That way my
parents can tell them, which information they should believe in and which not.”
Sol Hansen Aguerre, 4D
“The only question I have is: when is this going to end? I want to go back to school, to
see my friends. I believe that the action of being in quarantine has to continue until
the risk is minimal in Argentina. The airports: I personally would not open them until
there is no more risk worldwide”
Thomas Lehmann, 4C
“I think this pandemic will strengthen the relationship in all our families and some
people will start doing things that they never had the opportunity to do. The pandemic
will have a lot of people in a bad mood because no one can see their friends and that is
